Installation Details:
As you plan your installation, keep the following guidelines in mind for best performance of the signal booster:

1. Do not install the outdoor antenna during the rainy day with lightning.

2. It is a must that the waterproof should be done to connectors of outdoor antenna and feeder lines.
3. In order to avoid interference, please note that the outdoor antenna should be far away from the following objects of metal, high-voltage line, RF antenna and high-voltage transformer.

4. Maintain a minimum distance of at least 30 feet between the Outdoor Antenna to the Indoor Antenna and make sure the Indoor Antenna is NOT facing toward the Outdoor Antenna. This creates potential oscillation or feedback and reduces the effectiveness of the booster.

Step 1: Install the Outdoor Antenna

The outdoor antenna should point to the direction of the tower.
Please select the opposite directions for outdoor antenna and indoor antenna.

★ Yagi or LPDA antenna need to horizontal point to the signal tower and perpendicular to the ground

Step 2: Install the Signal Booster

Select a location for the Signal Booster that is away from excessive heat, direct sunlight, moisture and well ventilated. The enclosure must NOT be air tight. Also, be sure the location is near a power source.

1. Outdoor Port: connected with the outdoor antenna by outdoor cable.
2. Indoor Port: connected with the indoor antenna directly or by indoor cable.
3. DC Port: connected with power supply.

Step 3: Install the Indoor Antenna

Proper antennas should be selected according to the site conditions and the requirement.
★ The indoor antenna installation can not be close to the door or window, must be separated from theoutdoor antenna with a wall.

★ Ceiling antenna suitable to be installed in the center and radiate all direction.


 

******Important Note ( please read , and please read all descriptions carefully ) ************:
To let a booster work it needs conditions :


1. please be sure that signal outside of your house is good enough to enable booster to work , what good signal is:

a). Stand there to check if you can make fluent call or not, if can ,then you buy ,otherwise please dont buy ;
b). Put your phone there to check its signal strengthness :
Android : setting→about phone→status→network ,dbm display shall be at -90dbm to -95dbm around ;
IOS : dial *3001#12345#*, dbm display shall be at -90dbm to -95dbm around ;
-100dbm to -105dbm means bad,so please dont buy.

2. Please be sure the place where you are going to install is 700/900/1800/2100/2600MHZ

Troubleshooting & Understanding Lights: 

1.The power is on but cell phone can not be called.
It should be caused by the insufficient isolation between outdoor antenna and indoor antenna. Please take below measures:
★ Firstly - check whether the connection is correct.
★ Secondly - adjust the antennas directions or locations or enlarge the distance between them.
★ Thirdly - replace a lower gain signal booster if you have one back up.
The following measures can also be tried:

★ Use the roof of the building to enlarge the isolation (please try to place the outdoor antenna and indoor antenna in different floors.)
★ Use some obstacles (such as wall)

2.The signal booster power is on but the phone is not connected into the network and still cannot communicate.

Reason 1: There are loose or wrong connections in the signal booster.
★ Solution: Please try to fasten the connections between the different parts of the system.
Reason 2: The signals received by outdoor antenna of other operators nearby are too strong.
(For example: the other operator signal are 10dB stronger than the needed signals.)
★ Solution 1: Change the direction of outdoor antenna or its installation position, so that the gap of signal strength is reduced between operators.
★ Solution 2: Use barriers (like building) to block signals of other operators.

The LED indicators are defined as follows:
Green: All is good.
Flash Green: Input signals may be not enough, you need adjust the outdoor antenna to get stronger outside signal. But if the booster works well, you need not do anything.
Red: The booster has shut down to prevent oscillation. Please put more distance between the outside and inside antenna or shield them from each other. Remember to unplug and plug in the amplifier to restart!

Before Getting Started: 

Before you install your Signal Booster and start enjoying amplified signals in your building, please check the frequency of your cell phone :
The booster can work well only if your cell phone works on same frequency band as the booster. Please check which band your cell phone uses firstly using the methods below:
(1). For iPhone:

Dial *3001#12345#*, then press Call button
Click 'Serving Cell Info'
Check 'Freq Band Indicator';
(2). For Android Phone:
Download and install the app: LTE Discovery, tap ‘SIGNALS’ and check band number.

Find the Strongest Signal Outside: 

A simple formula: Input power + Gain = Output power.

The signal strength from the outdoor antenna directly affects the efficiency of the indoor coverage.It is very important to choose the outdoor antenna location in order to get the best signals.
You can find the strongest signal outside your building, usually at the highest point available, using any of the following methods:
1. The Best Method:
Connect the Outdoor Antenna to the Signal Booster, and the Signal Booster to the Indoor Antenna. One person standing on the roof of your building rotate the Outdoor Antenna, and another person inside the building near the Indoor Antenna watching the signal strength on a phone. This allows you to read the signal strength from nearby cell towers.
(1). The person inside should have the phone in field test mode so the numerical signal strength can be read. This is more accurate than the bar indicator. Have your phone in field test mode using any of the following methods:
For iPhone:
Update November 7th 2017 Releases after 10.3.3 will not allow for toggling between the signal bars and the dB signal reading. For current models using 11.1 iOS please do the following:
• Key in *3001#12345#*
• Tap : Serving Cell Measurements
• Scroll down to: Measured RSRP
• Add +20 dBm to the resulting number (example -92 shown would be -72 dBm)
For Android Phone:
Settings – About Phone – Status or Network – Signal Strength or Network Type and Strength.
(2). The person on the roof should turn the Outdoor Antenna 45 degrees at a time. Please allow 30 seconds at least for the phone to register with each turn.
(3). The person inside should note the readings on the phone with each turn. Signal readings usually appear as a negative number. The closer the number is to zero, the stronger signal your phone is receiving. Thus, -75dBm would be a moderately good signal, and -55dBm would be an excellent good, but -110dBm would be a very weak signal.
(4). Once you have determined which direction provides the strongest outside signal, you can install the Outdoor Antenna in that general direction.

2. Better methods:
(1). Place make calls from several locations outside your building. As you move to different locations, please note where you get the best reception.
(2). If you have a smart phone, you can download apps, such as “Open Signal" (for IOS) or "LTE Discovery" (for Android), which help you identify locations of nearby cell towers or the strongest signal.
3. Good Method:
Check the bar indicator on your cell phone display and note where the signal appears the strongest. (Note: cell phone bars are only an approximation of signal strength and vary from phone to phone.) Phones can take up to 30 seconds to reset to a new reading. Please be patient and repeat your signal check several times.
